zh-tw:航天器装配大楼; zh-hk:航天器装配大楼' }, { type = 'text', text = [[]] }, { type = 'item', original = 'Wide-body', rule = 'zh-cn:宽体; zh-tw:宽体; zh-hk:宽体;' }, { type = 'text', text = [[]] }, { type = 'text', text = [[]] },}, }国家太空中心（英语：National Space Organization，缩写为NSPO）是中华民国唯一航天发展的专责机构，隶属于国家实验研究院，负责执行太空科技政策、发展太空科技研发、建造人造卫星及航天相关科技与硬件建设。1991年成立时名为国家太空计划室（英语：National Space Program Office，缩写亦为“NSPO”），2005年改为现称。总部位于新竹科学园区内、国立交通大学旁。在1991年定案的第一期15年太空发展计划，除了发展卫星与扶持国内相关产业生根，且决定发展探空火箭；在国家太空中心与中山科学研究院的配合下，自1997年起研制第一枚探空火箭，并于1998年成功发射，国家太空中心预定在第二期15年太空发展计划（2004-2018）结束前发射10枚探空火箭。目前发展计划预定的发射数量已达成，目前尚无资料显示第三期发展计划有无新型探空火箭实验项目。第一期国家太空科技发展长程计划，国科会编列国家太空科技法展长程计划，总经费达197亿新台币，此计划执行时间共计15年。第二期国家太空科技发展长程计划，自2004年至2018年，共计15年，发射15次探空火箭。国科会有意提升中华民国太空科技研究的层级，欲成立国家太空研究院，不过目前设置草案仍未在立法院通过。2019年1月15日，行政院院长苏贞昌表示已签订第三期的“太空科技发展计划”。
